Serve One Another In Love!!!

Hi Ladies!

Anyone remember back in March, when I met Mrs. Heather and we teamed up to start a ministry blog, Serve One Another In Love, together?

It was awesome!

But then.... life got in the way.Things happened, and we "closed down" the blog for about 3 months.

This week? A miracle happened!

Heather and I finally got back together and started working on bringing back the site! I set up all the technical stuff, and worked really hard on the design (I think it's really pretty, if I do say so myself!) and Heather got busy writing content (I wrote content too)!

Serve One Another In Love

Today, Serve One Another In Love officially re-launches!!! I just cannot tell you how excited I am for this! I've been waiting ever since we "shut-down" the blog to start it back up again, and the day is finally here!

Please stop by!!! Today we have our Family In Faith blog hop, where we would love to have you come link-up so we can interact with you, and starting Monday, we are kicking off a 40 Days of Prayer series to challenge everyone's prayer lives!

I seriously just want to scream and jump for joy over this!  I didn't know if we would ever revive our ministry blog again, but Heather and I both missed it so much!

Blogging rocks, girls, it really does!

I'm so thankful to have my friend Heather back and our fun blog back! In case you needed a reminder, our blog title comes from the verse Galatians 5:13:

"You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love."
GOD IS SO GOOD!

6 Months Later...

Guess what?

Today is my 6 month blogiversary!

Can you believe that? I certainly can't!

How on Earth has it been half a year since I wrote my first blog post on January 9th?

I've met so many wonderful ladies through blogging that I am so happy to call friends!

Blogging has been an amazing, completely positive experience. I've learned so much through all of your beautiful blogs, and that's been awesome!

In those 6 months, I've written over 150 posts. Wow! I'm just truly awe-struck at the fact that I have sat here and blogged my heart out to you girls over one hundred and fifty times. It's been life changing!

I so hope that no matter how long you've been reading, you've been able to gain something, anything from my blog. It's my goal to encourage all of your hearts in your walks with Him!

Just know that I love and appreciate all of my sweet readers and friends (This means YOU) so much! 122 followers as of today. What a blessing!

I most definitely would not be here today, blogging, if it weren't for my truly amazing "new" friends who have encouraged, inspired, and uplifted me every step of the way!

As amazed and happy as I am about the past, I'm even more excited for the future here at Faithful Always! In honor of my 6 month anniversary, I'm moving!

From Blogger to WordPress.

WordPress is awesome! I already have two site on WordPress, plus I've transferred and designed many other blogs successfully using this platform. The only downside to being your own designer/professional to do the migration is that you kind of just do it whenever you can. So it might take me a lot longer to get my own site up, but hopefully in the next week or two I'll be rocking WordPress.

In the meantime, things will stay the same on this blog. I'll keep posting and hopefully encouraging all of you sweet ladies, and then one day you'll stop by for a visit and we will officially be rocking WordPress!

Thanks so much for your readership, friends! I'm so unbelievably blessed by all of you, and so thankful that He led me to blogging this past January!

So, I'm interested to know: Why are you a reader at Faithful Always? What one thing do you love most about my blog?

Blessings, Girlfriends!

In a Blink of the Eye...

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. - 1 Corinthians 15:52

One hundred and twenty days ago, a girl decided to start a blog.

She didn't expect much. She was starting this blog to document her journey faithfully following the Lord.

For a while, she just wrote. She wrote about her passions. She discovered a part of the world that would change her life forever {Reece's Rainbow orphans}.

She never expected to become a "popular" blogger with actually readers and actual commenter. Truthfully, she never expected a single soul to read her blog.

Suddenly, something happened. Someone showed up at her blogs doorstep, and rang the bell. They left her a comment. She was thrilled.

Slowly but surely, more wonderful people began stopping by her blog. She began to get more and more readers. Build connections with more and more sisters in Christ. She began to build a community.

She had a dream. If 100 people would stop by and "follow" her blog, maybe in 8 or 10 years, she would be ecstatic  That was her one, long term blog goal.

Friends, in case you haven't caught on yet, that girl is me. And today, that dream came true!

Faithful Always reached 100 Followers!!!

Wow. It's unbelievable! I can't believe it. 100 people have liked my blog enough to actually "follow" it. One hundred! I truly never thought I'd get anywhere close to this many followers. I'm so excited!

What else makes today special? Well, I'm really not the freak you think I am sitting here counting the days since I started blogging. Really. However, when I went to write this post, I asked myself, how long have I been blogging? Well, I started on January 9th. Today is May 9th. That means that we reached the 100 follower mark on our 4 month blogiversary!

Sure, there are other people who had 100 followers within weeks. Days even! For me, though, it's not about the numbers. Just like, though I write about my life + other things, I don't write this blog for me. I write it for Him. This also means that when you follow my blog, you are choosing to follow Him, as well. Always.

Anyway, the fun and fellowship here is just getting started, ladies! I'll be introducing many new things that you will love.

Also, I'm going to be holding a giveaway soon. Memorial Day weekend, I'm thinking. However, this is a unique giveaway. It's not for me, and though you ladies will have the chance to win some seriously sweet prizes, there is a bigger meaning. Trust me, you'll love it.

So... there you go. I am seriously still in awe about this! All I can say is: Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice! {Phillippans 4:4}

Iron sharpens iron, and one woman sharpens another. {Proverbs 27:17} Let's keep it up, dear friends!

P.S: You know me. Don't you? If you've been reading this blog for any amount of time, say even a few days, you would know that I LOVE to change up the design. I'm a blog design freak! I even have my own business, but that's beside the point.

I usually change it up every few weeks {and that's my max, people. I can't go any longer with the same design. I get bored. Good thing I know how to do it myself, or I would have spent a billion dollars in this department!}

SO, I thought that for this exciting occasion, I should get a fresh, new, beautiful blog design to match! Enjoy!

Post 100! A Look Back.

Wow. It's been 100 posts (but NOT 100 days!) since I started this blog! Surreal. I look over and see the number 63 on my Google Friend Connect. Even more surreal. Did you know that for over a month (about half of this blogs life) I had 0 followers? I was never discouraged by that though. I was empowered by it! My first 2 sweet followers were Erin and Ashley, who both came around Valentines Day and ever since, I've been growing!

I wanted to take a little trip back in time to highlight some of my greatest (and not so great) posts. To start, I had to go back to where it all started.

Now, I know this is cheesy. Really cheesy. I'm almost to embarrassed to revive it from the archives, but:

Welcome to Faithful Always. Recently, I have made the decision to involve God in every aspect of my life. I find that I really do need God in my life and I find myself turning to him at unexpected times. I have turned my life over to a higher power and let me tell you, its wonderful! My purpose is not to force my beliefs off on other people. Everyone of every religion is welcome here. My purpose is to blog about my journey with the Lord, discuss it with others, and share some of my favorite resources. This will be a fun blog and a great place to fellowship and share about how God has affected your life! I pray that this will be a great successful blog for all to enjoy! - January 9, 2011

That was the first thing I ever wrote on this blog. That doesn't even describe this blog anymore! Let's move on to something else: Serving God vs. Guitar Hero. This is still one of my favorites, because it's just so interesting! Excerpt:

...I think that's what Jesus is saying here. We're the ones with the arms and legs and hands and feet. We're the ones holding the guitar. But He's the one who wrote the song. Unless we're watching for Him to tell us what chords to play, we can stand up there and strum all we want, but we're gonna crash and burn. And the Bible is like our video screen. It's got all the notes of His song already laid out. We've just got to read them, and then act them out." - January 21, 2011

Next up is: The Power Of Prayer: A Realization! I like that one a lot, and it's about how all of our prayer DO get answered, and it also includes the story of Lazarus (I think that story is in another blog post a well! Can you tell it's a favorite?). Excerpt:

God provides. There are plenty of testimonies out their to prove my point. Stick to God's principles, and you will always be rewarded. God doesn't want us to go without. That is evident in my family's story, because we went from having none at all to being triply blessed.

Sometimes, when faith is low, you need some kind of sign to show that God is there, He does love you, and He will provide for you. Don't let that message escape you.

God has given me his Blessed Assurance. He does answer prayers and he does care deeply for each and everyone of His children. He loves us all so much, and we must love Him back. - January 25, 2011

Next, we go to my favorite character quality post: Godly Character Quality #7: Discernment! (Satan's Ultimatum). I think I would say this is my FAVORITE post. However, as much as I love it, it was also a hard decision I made when deciding to share it. I shared the story the story of something that I am very embarrassed to have done, but also something that was so important, as it lead to my salvation. Excerpt:

...To wrap it all up, I must say this: Everyone has their own personal flaws and struggles. Even you. Sometimes your flaws can be even greater than you could have imagined. You are by no means perfect, so don't hold other people up to unrealistically perfect standards. For whatever you are wanting to judge them for, you probably have something much worse. It may not be obvious to you, but it's there. Learn to stop nit-picking and look beyond others to see your true self. It may not be a pretty sight, but in time, time spent in a holy way, you can make it one. Understand yourself first, or you will never understand others! - February 2, 2011

Lastly, I want to share with you this post: Perfectly Imperfect. This was my realization that maybe I don't want to be perfect. Maybe I'm already perfect just the way I am. Excerpt:

I, am one of the least perfect people out there. I make mistakes, I have more flaws than I care to discuss, I don't always make the right decisions, and I get stressed out with the best of them. However, with all that said, I would never want to be perfect. Yes, I'm saying I would rather be IMperfect. - February 21, 2011

All in all? I couldn't be happier! This has been a great adventure into my first "century" of posts. And this is only the beginning of what is to come! I never in a MILLION YEARS would have guessed that my blog would grow to be what it is today, with actual readers! 60+ of them! I never would have dreamed I could come up with 100 things to post, let along 500 or even 1,000 someday!

I guess this just goes to show ME: Anything is possible!

Thank you so much my sweet friends, for joining me on this adventure.

Many blessings!
