Bringing Into This World What They Created Together... All Alone

8:00

A mere few hours away.

Vee will go into the hospital to deliver little Carter via C-section.

Without her husband.

I've posted about Vee before. She lost her husband on November 9th, 2010. She has 2 other children, Faith and Caleb. Today Carter will be born.

Vee is so ready not to be pregnant, but she is not so ready to do it alone. I was up thinking about her and praying for her all night. Imagine that: Your rock, the person you love with all your heart, the person who helped create the baby inside you... cannot be there.  You have to do it alone. Sure, you have others who care so much about you, but it's just not the same.

However, I know Jeremy is there. He will be there is spirit. Vee won't be doing it along, but it will still be hard. I'd say this is probably one of the worst and the happiest days of her life. She's bringing a precious life into this world. She is overjoyed. On the other hand, Jeremy doesn't get to share in the joy.

This is not meant to make you sad. Jeremy never got to meet Carter on Earth, but he had the amazing opportunity to be with him in Heaven. Now it is Carter's turn to come to Earth, but he will always know his Daddy.

I'm asking you to pray, please please pray for Vee today. I can't stop praying. Pray for a safe delivery. Pray  that Jeremy will be there in spirit. Pray.

I cannot really do justice to Vee's words. Read these posts on from her beautiful blog to get the idea (You might want some tissue!):

This is it

Carter is coming into this world a loved little boy.

God be with Vee on this emotional day.

I know He will be.

The 5:00 Update 2/4/11! A Renewed Purpose... (and the results of Pennies on a Platter's fundraiser for The King Family!)

Hey Friends!

Last night, Patti updated the giveaway to include a few more prizes (Natural Charm Necklace by Lia Sophia, $150 Sears gift card, $25 gift credit to Etsy store Lilybuds, or $25 gift credit to 31 gifts, Anyone?)

More importantly, the giveaway has a renewed purpose. As you already knew, Kareen has had a family committed to her for a while, and it was just announced that Olga has a family. :) Kareen's family, The Cox's, are so grateful for the money  that has been pouring in to help her. The Cox's and Patti both feel that their goals for Kareen and Olga have been met.

For the 6 days that are left, the Pure Love Giveaway will be focused solely on getting Peter his full grant. I can tell how loved Peter is by all the money that has been coming in to him these past few days.
                                                         Olga's Final Total is... $13,154!!!

                                                      Kareen's Final Total is... $7,450!!!

 Beautiful Peter's ongoing 5:00 total is... $8,867.50!

Have a great weekend everyone. Please don't forget to help out this precious little boy!

God Bless,

Sydney

P.S:

Remember way back when... when I posted about Veronica (Vee) King and her children Faith and Caleb? They recently lost their beloved Daddy/husband, Jeremy. In addition, Vee has scheduled a c-section for this upcoming Monday, February 8th, so Jeremy and Vee's new baby named Carter will be here very soon!

Anyway, I posted about how you could help the King family: by visiting the wonderful Pennies On A Platter once a day and/or donating to Vee through Paypal.

Let me just say, God was on our side with this one. Pennie's On A Platter got 441% more page visits than the norm! Without further adieu...

Pennie's On A Platter raised $1,577.29 for Vee!

I am so amazed by people's generosity and willingness to help someone in need. Again, I know didn't really have any impact of the outcome of this fundraiser. I'm just a humbled blogger posting about those  issues that are close to my heart.

Thank you, God. You are so good!

God Bless,

Sydney

Lend a Clicking Hand...

Left to Right: Caleb, Veronica, and Faith

Hey Everyone!

If you don't know this about me yet then here you go: I am ALWAYS looking for another great blog to follow! I read about Pennies On A Platter on another blog and the story of a certain woman named Veronica King just touched my heart.

Veronica is a Christian mom with 2 children and another one on the way. Her 31 year old husband, Jeremy, recently died of a heart attack. Her story is such a heartbreaking one because you can just see how loved her husband was and how missed he will be. You can read it here: http://veronking2003.blogspot.com/2010/11/tuesday-november-9-2010.html

Are you wondering if there is any way to help poor Veronica? I sure was. The good news is that you can help her just by visiting Pennies On A Platter once a day! You see, all the profits from the month of January the ad on Pennies On A Platter produces, will go to Veronica and her children. The more you visit Pennies On a Platter, the more money Veronica will receive! It's really a great cause, and I hope you will check it out. Tell your family and friends about it too!

All of those visits to Pennies On a Platter will not be wasted either! Nikki is the author of the blog, She is married to a wonderful guy named Ben, and they have a one year old son named Judah. Nikki frequently posts wonderful and inventive kid- friendly recipes. Her latest recipe is one for a colorful and tasty Trix Cereal Bark! You will be figuring out what's for dinner and dessert all the while helping out someone in need!
Please remember to include Veronica King and her kids in your prayers tonight. She is a great woman and I know we all want to help her through this tough situation.
